    COMFORT THAT KEEPS KICKING

The Nike Epic React Flyknit Men's Running Shoe provides crazy comfort that lasts as long as you can run. Its Nike React foam cushioning is responsive yet lightweight, durable yet soft. This attraction of opposites creates a sensation that not only enhances the feeling of moving forwards, but makes running feel fun, too.

    Ridiculously Responsive

Nike React feels incredibly bouncy. As your foot lands, the foam responds to the impact of your step by snapping back. The more energy you put into your step, the more energy you get in return. Compared to the similarly soft Nike Lunarlon cushioning, you get 13% more energy return with React.

    Feels Like the First Run

The foam outsole shows the hard work and wear of many miles, yet it resists compression and keeps its shape. Based on testing with champion runners like Galen Rupp, the shoe's cushioning still feels like new after roughly 300 miles. It's like you get that exciting, out-of-the-box experience with every run.

    Give Your Feet a Hug

Flyknit material contours to the shape of your foot, creating a snug, hug-like feel. With the bootie-style construction, the tongue is seamlessly part of the upper. This eliminates the pressure a traditional tongue puts on the top of your foot. Combined with the bouncy-soft feeling of React underfoot, it's like you're wearing slippers on a mattress.

    Optimised Traction

To keep the shoe as light as possible, traction is placed only where critical. Based on data, rubber sections on the toe and heel help you grip the ground and push off.

Shoes so nice you will want to sleep in them

Best, lightest most comfortable running shoe I have ever owned or have worn. Based on my experience with them so far, React lives up to the hype. As a larger guy that loves to run, my 6’4” 240 lb frame throws down a good deal of impact. These cushion impact really well while providing a nice and springy energy return. My mile average time on a break-in 5K went down by nearly 45 seconds per mile. Maybe the new shoe placebo or maybe it’s just the shoes. It’s gotta be the shoes!\n\nI absolutely ?? these shoes so far. I am somewhat concerned about durability, especially as I had to buy them through a third party as Nike sold out really quickly and I don’t necessarily have Nike’s 30 day guarantee if the exposed midsole starts tearing to shreds. These shoes aren’t exactly cheap and it would be heartbreaking if I were to experience some of the claims a few other reviewers are making. However, if they hold up well enough to continue to run 300-400 miles in them per Nike’s marketing while looking good enough for casual wear, these shoes will then prove an incredible value and I would definitely buy more if I can get them before they get snapped up. Time will tell, although after an initial run on some gnarly park asphalt, the soles still look okay, albeit a a little staining, light scuffs and dirt on the bottoms from using them outdoors. \n\nThe Flyknit upper is pretty nice. As far as Flyknit goes, I’m used to the sock like fit of the free Flyknit RNs over the last few years. These are a little more structured. Nike seems to be moving toward tighter fits with the Flyknit uppers as I have observed over the last few Free RN Flyknit iterations and initially, the Flyknit upper on the Epics is a little tight. However, loosening up the laces and wearing them for a little while soon had me forgetting they were there. Did I mention these were light? I’d say the sizing is pretty spot on but maybe a little tight if you have wide feet or a large upper foot between the toes and ankle. If you’re more average, go with your normal size. As far as the heel on them, it’s not as rigid as it looks in the photos. It’s flexible along with the Flyknit and I didn’t feel it. I also haven’t heard any clicking or whatever, yet. \n\nAll in all, an excellent shoe, especially if they hold up well. If so, these will be my go to running shoes. Now, if only Nike would bring back the plus running sensors or make their shoes connected for more acute run data, I would have no reason to rotate in othe brand shoes.
